The Deep Here Be Dragons is Nominated for TWO Aurealis Awards.
Still blown away by this but ‘The Deep: Here Be Dragons’ has been nominated for ‘Best Children’s Picture Book’ AND ‘Best Illustrated Work’ in the 2012 Aurealis Awards. The Aurealis Award is Australia’s premier literary award for speculative fiction.
Thank you to the judges and to all involved from myself and artist, James Brouwer.
Congratulations to all the nominees and a huge congrats to Wolfgang Bylsma and my fellow Gestalt Publishing nominees. Gestalt garnered four nominations in all, and took out three of the five final places in ‘Best Illustrated Work’. A stunning achievement.
Christian Read, Andrew Constant – I’m sending a slight nod of mutual respect, with a competitive edge, your way ![]()
