Boba Fett continues to be dead this week. Issue #2 of Star Wars: Blood Ties – Boba Fett is Dead is out this Wednesday all over the world, and features one of my favourite covers ever from, the man, Chris Scalf.
Here are some of the nicest things said about issue #1…
“Boba Fett is Dead isn’t your average Star Wars installment, it’s a rough tale of what happens when you start a war against a force that isn’t completely understood. I really look forward to what Tom Taylor has in store for the rest of this series, it’s certainly going to be an intense one. Story: ★★★★★ Art: ★★★★★“ – Bamfas
“It reads as a Richard Stark novel set in space. “Star Wars: Blood Ties – Boba Fett Is Dead” is unashamedly an entertaining book. Tom Taylor finds something of interest in every scene to ensure you actually haven’t seen all of this before. If you like Star Wars this is a nice and easy way to dip into the comics and have a good time.” – CBR
“What a way to start this tale – we dive right into the action, and don’t really stop at all for the whole issue. Taylor combines the action with a streak of dark comedy in both Connor Freeman and his enemies.” “Just go out and get it and read it. And then thank me.” – Big Shiny Robot
“With elements of a Raymond Chandler novel, it follows in the footsteps of sci-fi noirs such as Blade Runner and Alphaville.” “I strongly recommend the Blood Ties comics to any Star Wars fan.” – Fanboy Comics
“I never read any of the original Blood Ties limited series, but Tom Taylor writes this issue so well, I felt caught up and right in step with the action.” “I’m going to follow Scalf to any comic he does. Overall grade: A“ – Sci Fi Pulse
“It’s full of characters I’m unfamiliar with in the Star Wars Universe, but it doesn’t matter, the story is solid and the art by Chris Scalf is amazing.” – Nerd Farm
“What you have here is a great first issue: plenty of answers to bring you up to speed and heaps of mystery to keep you guessing.” - Giant Fire Breathing Robot
“I loved the first issue of Star Wars: Blood Ties-Boba Fett is Dead! Tom Taylor and Chris Scalf did an amazing job in the story and the art.” – Angry Koala Geer
